Quality in a sustainable way
As a staple food manufacturer, we have a responsibility not only to our customers and suppliers, but also to the community and environment.
The reduction of packaging material and waste as well as the use of regional raw resources are important to us.
The expansion of electricity generation through photovoltaics and participation in research projects are further components of our sustainability strategy. We are continuously working to improve our CO2 footprint and climate neutrality.
A new, sustainable chapter in the company’s history began with the installation of a new photovoltaic system in Markgrafneusiedl, Lower Austria, which was achieved in cooperation with VERBUND.
This saves around 57 tons of CO2 per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity requirements of around 200 Austrian households.
Our history
Fischer Brot has also been a proud member of the Climate Alliance Upper Austria since August 2023 with its location in Pichling (Im Südpark).
On 12.06.2024, we were presented with the Climate Alliance certificate during the annual admission ceremony by Mr Stefan Kaineder (State Councillor for climate protection, enviroment, consumer protection and integration) and Mr Norbert Rainer (Climate Alliance Austria/Upper Austria).
Together with the Climate Alliance Upper Austria, we will continue to improve our carbon footprint and develop exciting new projects.
