Fischer Brot has been a member of the global network “Klimabündnis” since November 2023. We join a group of over 100 “Klimabündnis” businesses in Upper Austria and a total of 1,300 throughout Austria. This partnership is a clear expression of our company’s comprehensive sustainability philosophy. Together with the “Klimabündnis Oberösterreich”, we develop further targeted measures to continuously improve our carbon footprint.

Sponsor Meeting “Land schafft Leben”
The “Land schafft Leben” sponsor meeting took place again this year in October. Managing Director DI Stefan Huemer attended as a representative of Fischer Brot. As an Austrianfamily business with 60 years of baking tradition, conscious foodconsumption and the sponsoring of Austrian agriculture and foodbusinesses is very important to us.“Land schafft Leben” is fully committed to these values and also promotes an open exchange about them. Therefore we have been supporting the work of the “Land schafft Leben” association for many years.
We bake with solar power
The start of a new sustainable chapter at Fischer Brot began with the installation of a new photovoltaic system in Markgrafneusiedl, Lower Austria, which was built in cooperation with VERBUND. This saves around 57 t of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity requirements of around 200 Austrian households.
Stone oven pepper flute
Autumn 2023 will be “spicy” at “Fischer Brot”. We would like to introduce you to a new product – our Stone oven pepper flute with a fiery taste, formed into an appealing shape. Black pepper in the dough and the ground pepper topping really heat things up!

We participated!
This year we were actively represented at the Linz Marathon 2023 with a particularly large number of people. The teams prepared together and started the spring in a sporty way. There was running and rolling. We are already looking forward to rolling or running to the finish line together again at the Linz Danube Marathon 2024.
Gallery Hoffelner
We are particularly pleased that the Hoffelner Gallery has now been at home in our Pichling facility for over 20 years. Again and again we have the pleasure of meeting new artists who exhibit a variety of paintings and sculptures in our entrance area. A big THANK YOU to Mr. Hoffelner and his team and congratulations on your 20th anniversary from Fischer Brot.

As an Austrian family business with over 60 years of baking tradition and about 350 employees, the appreciation of regional products is very important to us. The values of the “Land schafft Leben” association coincide with our entrepreneurial visions. That is why we have been an active supporter of this association for many years.

The BGF seal of approval is considered the highest national award for workplace health promotion. This aims to strengthen and make visible the health, appreciation and fairness of people at work – a goal to which Fischer Brot has also committed itself. To this end, our company has launched its own sustainable health initiative with the “Fit like a Fischer” project. Our team benefits from varied exercise offers, a fitness studio cooperation, ergonomic workplaces and fair cooperation. Because together we are Fischer Brot! Stay fit and healthy!
